New Dhamma Study Group – Starting August 2, 2025

Dear Dhamma Friends,

To deepen our understanding of the Dhamma in a more structured and supportive way, we’re excited to launch a new Study Group under the guidance of Bhikkhu Santacitto.

πŸ—“ When: First Saturday of each month
πŸ•š Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
🍽 Followed by: Potluck lunch
🏑 Location: Please contact us at info.ibfc.toronto@gmail.com for the address!

Bhante will guide us through essential Dhamma topics starting from the foundations. These sessions will be interactive, and questions can be asked directly in the  Dhamma Space Group.

To keep the learning engaging and collaborative, each topic will be presented by a family or group, who will have the creative freedom to present it in their own style as long as within the topic that Bhante provided.

πŸ“š Our first topic will be: Kamma

It’s a good opportunity to learn Dhamma together as a family or team to strengthen our understanding and support one another on the path.

Let us learn and grow togetherβ€”for our own benefit.
Anumodana for your support and participation!

Events

Monthly Gatherings

IBFC organizes a monthly program and invites the Sangha to give a Dhamma talk, short meditation session, and a Q&A. These sessions are ways for us to learn more about the teachings and meet each other as a community.

Meditation

Join us for our regular meditation sessions, where you can learn and practice various techniques of meditation, such as mindfulness of breathing and loving kindness meditation.

Meditation is a proven method to calm your mind, connect with your body, and cultivate positive emotions. Research shows that meditation can help with anxiety, depression, sleep, cognition, and more!

Come and discover the benefits of meditation for yourself!

Spiritual Retreats

IBFC arranges retreats for individuals to deepen their practice. These retreats are held at least once a year. However, similar to the other activities, we also participate in retreats organized by temples and meditation centers.

Volunteering

There are many opportunities to practice good deeds that cultivate good merits. Giving back to the community can be done in many ways such as food donations, helping the elderly or the sick, or environmental stewardship, just to name a few.
